I’ve Only Got One Memory (NaPoWriMo, Day 16)

Do you remember when you never never had to lie
And I don’t know when I was not immersed in the world
I should know how the world works
And if I don’t, well, it’s not my fault
Which is never easy

I have to remember one thing
That is nothing defines your childhood
As you define your childhood
Not how you saw what happened in the world
But the way you saw yourself
